The word that best sums up the performance of the Chimaera is effortless. It is propelled by the legendary TVR Power development of the Rover V8 which in its current 4.5 litre form is sufficient to propel the car from a standing start to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and 100 mph in 11.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 160 mph. The carefully tuned big bore stainless steel exhaust system is optimised for both performance and exactly the right V8 sound. The extremely strong chassis is based on that of the racing TVR Tuscan which provoked Autocar to say "chassis and engine mate brilliantly."
